Gujarat Police Bharti 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Gujarat Police must meet the specified eligibility criteria outlined below to be considered eligible for the exam. Candidates should have fulfilled the following criteria as indicated below to be considered eligible for the exam.
Age Criteria

- Applicants for the position of Constable must be at least 18 years old and should not exceed 33 years of age.
- Candidates applying for the position of Sub Inspector must be a minimum of 20 years old and must not exceed 33 years of age.
- There is an age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC, ST, and Gujarat Home Guards.
Educational Qualification
- constable : For the position of Constable, candidates should have passed the 12th standard or its equivalent.
- Sub inspector : The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution.
Physical Measurement Test
To qualify for the physical test, male candidates should have a minimum height of 165 cm, while SC candidates should have a minimum height of 162 cm. Additionally, the minimum weight requirement is 50 kg or above.
For female candidates, the minimum height requirement is 158 cm, while for SC candidates, it is 156 cm. Additionally, the minimum weight should be 40 kg or above.
Application Fee
For general candidates, the application fee is ₹100, while there is no fee for other categories.
Selection Process
- The Gujarat Police Preliminary Examination is conducted for eligible candidates.
- Candidates who perform well in the Prelims exam are selected for the Gujarat Police Mains Examination.
- Following the Mains exam, candidates are further shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) based on their performance.
- Candidates are ultimately selected based on their performance in the Physical Efficiency Test.
- Selected candidates undergo an interview process and document verification round.
