Realme is once again gearing up to launch its new budget smartphone, the Realme 12X 5G. The company claims that this phone will be packed with features and offered at a significantly lower price compared to other phones in the market. Realme has stated that the Realme 12X 5G will be priced below 12,000 rupees.

After initially launching the Realme 12 Pro, followed by the Realme 12, the company introduced a new segment with the Narzo 70 Pro 5G. Now, the upcoming addition to the Realme 12 series, the Realme 12X, is set to launch on April 2nd. The Realme 12X is expected to offer updated features compared to the Realme 11X, while being priced competitively lower.

Despite the improvements, Realme has suggested that the price of the Realme 12X will be lower than that of the 11X, making it appealing to consumers. The upcoming phone bears striking resemblances to the Realme 12, boasting similar features and a nearly identical design.

When discussing the key specifications of the Realme 12X, The company touts the Realme 12X as the “entry-level 5G killer.” This means that in this price range, this phone is set to make quite a splash in the 5G segment. Realme has equipped it with a 45W SuperVOOC charging support along with a 5000mAh battery backup.

According to the company, the phone can charge from 0 to 50% in just half an hour. Additionally, it features a 6.72-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 950 nits peak brightness. In terms of processing power, it comes with a Dimensity 6100+ chipset paired with a Mali G57 GPU, which is accompanied by a vapor chamber cooling system. Moreover, the phone boasts a 50MP AI camera and dual audio speakers.

Realme 12X comes with significant display upgrades compared to the 11X. It features a bright 6.72-inch FHD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, enhancing smooth touch responsiveness. Additionally, it boasts a peak brightness of 950 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even in bright environments.

Processor

Realme has introduced the Realme 12X with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, paired with a Mali-G57 GPU. Talking about the camera, the Realme 12X features a 50MP primary AI-based camera. It comes with a triple camera setup and a rear flash, resembling the radial camera setup seen in the Realme 12. However, the company has not yet disclosed further details about the other cameras. The camera setup is expected to include features like autofocus, optical image stabilization, and face recognition sensors. Additionally, the front camera will be housed in a punch-hole display, with an expected resolution of 16MP.

Other features

This is the first phone in its segment to feature an air gesture sensor, allowing users to perform various actions on the phone without touching it. This sensor was previously seen in the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G. In addition, other features include a dynamic button that enables direct access to functions such as flashlight control, camera activation, silent mode, airplane mode, etc. The phone also comes with Rainwater Smart Touch and an IP54 water and dust certification.

Compared to the 11X model, this phone is significantly underpriced. Although the company hasn’t officially announced the price, they have indicated that this phone’s base model could be available in the price range of under 12,000.
